Smellmaxxing, if we're calling it that (we're not btw), is everywhere right now. It's the internet's name for layering fragrance to make it last longer and smell more dimensional.
The idea isn't new. The way people are doing it is.
Fine fragrance is now the top beauty category by year-over-year growth in 2026. Not skincare. Not makeup. Fragrance. And what's driving it isn't a single new bottle everyone needs. It's the shift from wearing a scent to building one.
The signature scent, singular and permanent, is basically over. People aren't looking for their one forever perfume anymore. They're building a fragrance routine. Starting in the shower, layering up, ending somewhere interesting.
Most people skip the layering step entirely. Two perfumes on the same wrist is a start, but it's not quite it.
The actual move is starting before the EDP opens. Body oils change the skin surface they're landing on. They extend the top notes. They slow the dry-down. They do something to a fragrance that bare skin can't. Put a good fragrance on top of a body oil and what you get is neither the oil nor the perfume exactly. Something in between. Something that wears like skin with better taste.
Our Smokeshow Body Oil under the Smokeshow EDP is a good place to start. The oil softens the musk, settles the blonde woods lower, and turns something that could be a statement scent into something you can wear every day without being a lot. Wear time goes up. Projection stays close to the body. You stop announcing yourself and start just existing.
Same principle with Coconuts. The Coconuts Body Oil alone is warm and creamy, already enough on its own. Add the Coconuts EDP on top and there's a brightness and lift that the oil doesn't have alone. Together they build a dimension that neither has by itself.
The room mist doesn't have to stay in the room, by the way. Mist your hair. Your scarf. Anything fabric. Fabric holds scent longer than skin does, so a hit in your hair in the morning will stay with you at dinner in a way your wrist spray won't.
Wear it smarter. Closer to you. Longer. Not louder. More dimensional.
Start with the body oil. Let it settle. Then add from there.
At some point every year, the layers come off. The long pants, the tights, the armor between our skin and...
